Biography and Philosophy

Dr. Nirav Savalia is a Santa Monica plastic and reconstructive surgeon who has chosen to specialize in aesthetic surgery, encompassing cosmetic surgery of the face, breast and body.  Recognizing that beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder, Dr. Savalia provides a warm and attentive bedside manner that will allow you to express your desires and goals in a relaxed and unhurried manner.  A comprehensive consultation will include discussing all surgical and non-surgical options to formulate a truly individualized treatment plan.  Dr. Savalia is dedicated to achieving the most beautiful and natural results by combining technical excellence, artistic skill, and meticulous attention to detail that is based on years of advanced surgical training. 

Early in his life, Dr. Savalia displayed a passion for medicine, which gained him admission to a highly competitive, accelerated program combining undergraduate and medical school courses.  After receiving his medical degree from the Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia , Dr. Savalia went on to train at the University Hospital of New Jersey.  There, he spent five years learning and mastering the field of general surgery, including the care of the most severely injured trauma patients in a cutting edge surgical ICU, as well as earning a one-year Research Fellowship that allowed him to conduct advanced research in medicine at a cellular level. 

After equipping himself with the skills and expertise of general surgery, Dr. Savalia entered a prestigious training program for Plastic and Reconstructive surgery at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine-Montefiore Medical Center in NY.  He served as Chief Resident and received personal training from internationally renowned leaders in the fields of reconstructive and aesthetic surgery in New York City .  At the conclusion of his training, Dr. Savalia received the Leo M. Davidoff Society Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Teaching of Medical Students from the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
