Why add caffeine USP to Replenix?

Research has shown that the addition of caffeine USP to green tea polyphenols actually enhances the antioxidant properties of the already powerful green tea.

Conney, et.al. have published widely on the effects of caffeine and the green tea polyphenol Epigallocatechin 3-gallate (EGCG) with regard to inhibition of sunlight-induced skin cancer in humans. The data they present shows very high rates of tumor inhibition. An additional study out of Rutgers University College of Pharmacy found that topical applications of caffeine or EGCG inhibited carcinogenesis and selectively increased apoptosis in UVB-induced tumors in mice. While Clavin Labs in no way makes a cancer prevention claim, we do encourage our customers to review the literature and make their own decisions.
