PRESENTATIONS(Recent) Dr. Clavin presented a clinical talk, “35 Years' Experience with Closed Primary and Revisional Rhinoplasties,” on May 29, 2010 at the 60th annual meeting of the California Society of Plastic Surgeons in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA.
Dr. Clavin gave an instructructional course, "Rhinoplasty Challenge: Small Group Clinical Rounds," on May 28, 2010 at the 60th annual meeting of the California Society of Plastic Surgeons in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA.
Dr. Clavin was a moderator of a 1.5 hour Rhinoplasty panel. This took place Sept. 13th at the 2008 30th annual meeting of the L.A. Society of Plastic Surgeons.
Dr. Clavin was a presenter at the South Asian Beauty and Fashion Show Pageant on November 10, 2006 on the prestigious ship, Queen Mary. This presentation is the spirit of India's 15th year anniversary- a red carpet event for the Jagriti Charity. Opening Ceremony and winner crowned by Steven Seagal. This exciting show will air on Sahara One Television.

Brief History:


A Los Angeles native, Harold D. Clavin, MD, F.A.C.S., attended Fairfax High School, received his undergraduate degree from UCLA, and his doctorate from University of Southern California. Both his internship and residency in head and neck surgery were at Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center, followed by two years in the Navy, where he served as Chief Medical Officer on the USS Piedmont and as a surgeon at the Long Beach Naval Hospital. Afer two years of surgical training at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, he was offered the rare opportunity to train in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of California, San Francisco. In the ensuing years, Dr. Clavin was honored as a Diplomat of the American Board of Plastic Surgery and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, as well as a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, American Society of Aethetic Plastic Surgeons, California Society of Plastic Surgeons, and Los Angeles Society of Plastic Surgeons, where he served as president. He is perhaps best known for his extensive experience with primary and revisional rhioplasties (cosmetic nose surgery). Dr. Clavin is known as a teacher, writer and lecturer, and has been a guest on more than three-dozen television shows, including "The Oprah Winfrey Show" and "Good Morning America". Though much of his practice is devoted to cosmetic surgery, he has done considerable work with burns, trauma and congenital defects.
